Wish to be a Donor?

Eligibility to become a Sperm Donor

We need healthy male volunteers between the ages of 25 and 50 to join our sperm donation program.  Sperm donors must be aware that identifying information will be made available to parents and children conceived through their donation, and that no financial reward for the donation may be received.  In addition, donors must also undergo screening tests and counselling before the donation can take place.

Eligibility to become an Egg Donor

Ideally, women looking to donate their eggs should be between 21 and 36 years of age, although women older than this may be considered with appropriate consultation with recipients.  Egg donors must be aware of the risks associated with their donation, and be willing to undergo screening tests and counselling prior to their donation.  As with sperm donation, egg donors must be identifiable and must not be paid for their donation.

For more information on becoming an egg or sperm donor and full eligibility criteria, please contact us on +64(9) 524 1231 or donors@repromed.co.nz, or download "Becoming a Donor - What you Need to Know"

Eligibility to become a Sperm Recipient

The donor sperm program is available where the male partner has no sperm or very low semen parameters, where there is a risk of passing on a genetic abnormality to a child or where there are ejaculatory problems. In addition, single women and lesbian couples may also be eligible to access donor sperm at our clinic.

Eligibility to become an Egg Recipient

The donor egg program is available where women do not produce their own eggs, have not been able to achieve an ongoing pregnancy with their own eggs, have been advised not to use their own eggs due to a genetic disorder, or where it is medically not safe to use their own eggs.

Please contact our team for more recipient information on +64(9) 524 1232 or freecall 0800 IVF 105.  It is necessary to make an appointment with a Repromed doctor before you may be considered for treatment with donor gametes.
