At Repromed, we provide highly personalised fertility care for everyone. All are welcome and we want every client to feel supported throughout their time with us. It is our commitment to offer fertility care that respects and honours each client’s personal and cultural values.
We value and welcome sexual and gender diversity for our clients and staff. We’re proud that Repromed was the first fertility clinic (in fact, the first health care provider) in New Zealand awarded with Rainbow Tick certification in 2016. The term “Rainbow” encompasses people who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, takatāpui and intersex. In order to achieve certification, the Repromed team undertakes ongoing training and all communications is written to ensure that we are inclusive to all. This includes making sure our website, information sheets, social media pages and all consent forms are gender neutral and no assumptions are made about being in a partnership. The Rainbow Tick is a continuous quality improvement system that overarches everything that we do. Find out more about Rainbow Tick here.

Surrogacy may be required where a woman is unable to carry a pregnancy and another woman, the surrogate, is needed to carry the pregnancy for her. Read more about surrogacy here.
HIV-positive fertility options
Repromed has supported people living with HIV through their journey to pregnancy since we opened in 2010. It is now well established that people living with HIV who are taking antiretroviral drugs, can achieve an undetectable viral load and therefore have a zero chance of transmitting the virus to their sexual partners and children. All forms of fertility treatment (e.g. IUI, IVF) are a safe option for those with HIV wanting to try for a baby. We are now pleased to share that men living with HIV, who have an undetectable viral load, are able to become “known” sperm donors.
