Kia ora everyone,
No doubt you are aware of the announcement this afternoon by the Prime Minister of the Covid-19 alert change to Level 3 this afternoon and Level 4 Wednesday evening. This is uncharted territory for us all and I know this will be a very stressful time for our clients, especially where there are concerns about delays. I can update you on our response to the escalation in the plan to combat this global pandemic.
We have been preparing for this possible outcome, however there is much sadness and disappointment from us all for the need to action these plans, which in many cases require cancelling planned treatment.
Current clients undergoing treatment
Starting now, we will be getting in touch with all clients currently undergoing treatments including IVF, Frozen Embryo Transfers (FET), Intrauterine Insemination (IUI) and Donor Insemination (DI). For clients with scheduled egg collections, intrauterine inseminations and embryo transfers over the next 48 hours, we will be discussing how this can be managed safely for both them and our team and we will update you directly. We are committed to doing all we can.
New client consultations and new treatments
Anyone that is currently booked in for a consultation (including counselling and reviews), where it is possible to be done virtually, can go ahead. Our plan is to continue offering phone and virtual consultations as long as we can. We are not able to start any new treatments unfortunately, as it requires face to face consultation and investigations / tests. This is the best we can do with the restrictions in place, and of course, advice may change as the situation evolves.
All the above applies, however you might like to know that we are passionate that the Covid-19 pandemic should not negatively impact those that are planning publicly funded treatment. We are campaigning for the age restriction criteria to make allowances for the delay in treatment start date. We will keep you updated as soon as we have further news.
Current clients, please allow us time to get in touch with you to advise of next steps. If you have any urgent queries, please email as we have key staff available to answer any queries. We will provide updates as soon as possible via Facebook and on our website.
Thank you for your understanding, please know that we are here for you now and in the future.
